“As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another”. Proverbs 27:17
Welcome to sWord. We are a group of Christian homeschooled students, coaches and parents who help students develop public speaking skills. Here, words mean things; words are powerful tools. We are a speech club whose goal is to develop and inspire Christian students to winsomely and effectively communicate truth, hope, edifying literature, persuasive arguments, and articulate writing to both the Christian and the secular community. Our desire is to prepare these students not only for tournaments but also for a larger contribution to culture and real world impact!
Beginning in September we will introduce each event and set incremental assignments toward skill building in research, writing and presentation. Students polish their skills by giving and receiving constructive feedback from coaches and club members in order to prepare them for competitive tournaments. Our objective is to cultivate a close-knit supportive networking of families and students committed to encouraging and helping each one grow, mature and succeed.
